Hunza Tier Light GU10 - Copper - Mains

A Soft Pool of Light for Mid Height Planting

The Hunza Tier Light GU10 is a pole mounted garden light made to bring out medium level foliage such as shrubs, ferns and clipped borders. Its wide copper hood sits on a 700mm pole and casts a gentle pool of light around itself, which suits a good many landscape situations. This is the mains version, so it runs straight from a mains supply without a separate driver.

Solid Copper Made to Weather

This Tier Light is made from solid copper and is designed to be left outdoors and allowed to patina. When new it is bright and warm. Over time it deepens to brown, and in some gardens it moves on to a soft green. That change is part of the character of the material, not a fault. If you would prefer a finish that holds its look, the same light is made in 316 stainless steel and powder coated aluminium.

How It Works

• Light spreads through 360 degrees on a horizontal plane and no light is thrown upward, so the glow stays low among the planting.
• Body length 155mm, hood diameter 260mm, on a pole 38mm in diameter and 700mm long.
• Takes a GU10 lamp, which is not supplied. To keep the IP rating and warranty, fit a Hunza approved LED lamp.
• Mains voltage with no driver required, wired in parallel.
• Listed as IP56/IP66 and backed by a 10 year warranty.
• A wall mounted Tier Light GU10 is also made if the fitting needs to sit on a wall instead of a pole.

Where It Works Best

• Among shrubs and herbaceous borders where you want a pool of light within the planting
• Along a path edge, set back in the planting so the hood does the lighting
• Beside steps or a terrace, to give a low level glow for evening walks
• In gravel or bark beds where a taller pole keeps the fitting clear of the plants

• Made to order and usually despatched within 2 to 3 days. A specification that is temporarily unavailable can take 3 to 5 weeks.
• You can return an unused, uninstalled fitting in its original packaging within 14 days.
• The lamp is not included and must be bought separately.
• Copper darkens outdoors as a natural patina. This is normal.
• Fitting by a registered NICEIC electrician is advised.

Questions People Ask

Does the Tier Light GU10 come with a lamp?
No. It takes a GU10 lamp that is sold separately, and a Hunza approved LED should be used to maintain the IP rating and warranty.

Does it shine upward?
No. It gives 360 degrees of light on a horizontal plane and does not project any vertical light.

Will the copper keep its bright colour?
No. Solid copper is designed to weather outdoors, moving from bright copper to brown and sometimes a soft green.

Does it need a driver or transformer?
No. This is the mains version and needs no driver.
