Copper Step Light for Mains Circuits

Set into a step, a path or a paved edge, the Hunza GU10 Step Light sits flush on its 88mm flange and throws light across the surface. This is the copper version, and it runs directly from the mains with a GU10 lamp. There is no driver to find a home for.

Copper, Left to Age

Hunza makes this fitting in copper to be left outdoors and allowed to patinate. It begins bright and warm, moves toward brown as the seasons pass, and can end up a soft green. If you would like a finish that does not change, the same fitting is also made in 316 stainless steel and powder coated aluminium.

Specification Highlights

• Mains powered with no driver required, wired in parallel.
• Recessed body 63.5mm in diameter and 90mm long, with a 63.5mm cut out.
• Flange 88mm in diameter and 7mm deep.
• Mounting holes come as standard but are not required if you install with a canister.
• The GU10 lamp is not supplied. A Hunza approved LED is needed to hold the IP67 rating and the 10 year warranty.
• Select With or Without as you order.

• Returns accepted within 14 days if the fitting is unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging.
• Copper darkens and patinates when left outdoors, which is normal rather than a fault.
• You buy the lamp separately, and it must be Hunza approved.
• We recommend installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Questions People Ask

Will the copper keep its shine?
No. It is a natural finish that deepens to brown and eventually a soft green outdoors, which Hunza designs it to do.

Is this a low voltage fitting?
No. This is the mains GU10 version and needs no driver. A low voltage version, which needs a transformer, is sold separately.

How deep does the flange sit?
The flange is 7mm deep and 88mm across, fitting a 63.5mm cut out.

How long is the warranty?
10 years, provided a Hunza approved LED lamp is used.
