A Square Copper Light That Grows Into Its Surroundings

The Hunza Pure LED Step Light Square is a flush mounted fitting with a square flange, made here in solid copper. Fitted into masonry, stone or timber, it gives off a soft pool of light for steps, driveways and paved areas, and it works equally well turned upward as a recessed uplighter. The low voltage LED is part of the fitting, so there is no separate lamp to buy, and the LED board is field replaceable.

Solid Copper, Left to Patina

This is solid copper through and through, not a plated surface. Hunza designs it to age in the open air: bright and warm when new, then deepening to brown, and in time to a soft green. If you want to keep a constant colour, the same square step light is also offered in 316 stainless steel and in powder coated aluminium.

How It Works

• The flange is square, 88mm wide and 7mm deep. A recessed body 63.5mm in diameter and 68.5mm long sits behind it, with a 63.5mm cut out.
• Standard mounting holes are provided, which you can skip if you use a canister.
• Cree LED chip: 600 lumens from 6 watts at 1050mA, CRI 90 or more at 3000K. Hunza says the parts can be serviced.
• Colour temperatures of 2200K, 2700K, 3000K and 4000K are offered, along with 15, 25, 38 and 60 degree beams and clear or frosted lenses.
• Series wired and powered by a remote LED driver that is sold separately. Add a suitable dimmable driver if you want to dim it.
• 1m of cable supplied. IP67, a 10 year warranty and 5 years on the LED.

• The copper will change colour over time. That is the intended behaviour of the finish and not a defect.
