Description

The Hunza PureLED Pond Light Weighted Base in Stainless Steel represents a genuinely significant step forward in underwater lighting technology. Where the standard pond light range takes a lamp, this fitting has the LED module built directly into the luminaire, with a 12V integral driver already incorporated into the design. That means you are working with a complete, self contained light source right out of the box, with no separate lamp to source, and none of the compatibility headaches that can arise when matching lamps to fittings in a more traditional setup.

The PureLED system delivers more than an 80 percent reduction in energy use compared to older lamp based technology, along with a vastly extended lamp life of up to 50,000 hours. It also runs cool to the touch, which is both a safety benefit and a performance benefit in an underwater environment. The colour rendering is excellent, the light output consistent, and the choice of colour temperatures and beam angles wide enough to suit almost any pond or water feature application.

The weighted base means the fitting sits on the floor of the pond without any fixing into the structure. No drilling, no liner penetration, no leak risk. The 316L stainless steel body is hand assembled in New Zealand and rated to IP68 for continuous, full submersion. The adjustable arm allows full beam direction control so you can achieve exactly the lighting effect you have in mind, whether that is a dramatic uplight through the water column, a wide wash across the bed of a natural swimming pond, or a targeted spotlight on a fountain or marginal planting feature.

This fitting is ideal for natural swimming ponds, wildlife ponds, koi ponds, ornamental lakes, water gardens, formal pond features, decorative fountains and water features. It is not designed for conventional swimming pool installation.
