Mains Powered Copper Wall Spot
This is the Retro, mains powered take on the Hunza Pure LED Euro Twin Wall Spot. Two heads that you aim yourself sit on a compact copper bar, throwing light along pathways or over parts of the building. With no separate driver to house, it suits walls where you would rather not hide a box. The base is larger than on the low voltage model.
Copper Made to Mature
Solid copper is used for the body, left to patina by design. It will look bright and warm when new, turn brown over the seasons and can then take on a soft green. That change is part of the appeal and not a fault. If you prefer a finish that stays put, the same Retro wall spot comes in 316 stainless steel.
How It Works
- The two heads turn through 360 degrees and tilt between 0 and 90 degrees.
- Each has a Cree LED chip, giving 420 lumens from 4 watts at 700mA with a CRI of 90 or more at 3000K.
- Colour temperature (2200K, 2700K, 3000K or 4000K), beam angle (15, 25, 38 or 60 degrees) and clear or frosted lens are chosen when you order.
- Head bodies are 44mm across and 80mm long, on a 38mm bar 140mm long, with a 78mm diameter base 55mm deep and 1m of cable.
- Mains version, so no driver is required. It is wired in parallel.
- Dimming is not supported on this mains version.
- IP66 rated and guaranteed for 10 years, with 5 years on the LED.
Where It Works Best
- On a wall near an existing mains supply, such as beside a garage or porch
- Lighting a driveway edge from the house wall
- Highlighting the texture of brick or stone from a short distance
- In projects where a driver for every light would be awkward to place
How We Plan and Install Hunza Lighting
Since 2003 we at Moonlight Design have worked with Hunza. We design lighting schemes for gardens, supply Hunza fittings and install them with NICEIC registered electricians. On our Design Service page you can see photographs of our own completed schemes and read how we plan, draw up and install them. Do take a look if you want a hand deciding between mains and low voltage.
