Copper Pole Light Powered Straight from the Mains
Choose the Retro version of the Hunza Pure LED Euro Twin Pole Light and you get two adjustable spotlights on an 800mm copper pole, powered directly from the mains. There is no remote driver to hide or wire in series. The heads can be aimed in any direction for paths and low foliage, or pointed downward to remove vertical light.
Solid Copper and the Patina to Come
Solid copper is used throughout, and Hunza designs it to weather. Expect bright, warm metal at first, then a gradual move to brown and, with time, a soft green. Nothing is wrong when that happens, because it is the natural behaviour of copper outdoors. A 316 stainless steel version exists for a finish that does not change.
How It Works
- Each arm turns through 360 degrees and tilts from 0 to 90 degrees, with a glare guard on each head.
- The LED in each head is a Cree chip. Together they give 420 lumens from 4 watts at 700mA, with CRI 90 or more at 3000K.
- Pick 2200K, 2700K, 3000K or 4000K, a 15, 25, 38 or 60 degree beam, and a clear or frosted lens.
- Head bodies are 44mm in diameter and 80mm long. The pole is 38mm wide (63.5mm at its widest point) and 800mm long, with 1m of cable supplied.
- No driver is required because this is a mains version, wired in parallel.
- Not dimmable.
- IP56/IP66 rating, plus a 10 year warranty with 5 years on the LED.
Where It Works Best
- Along a garden path with a copper finish that warms the planting around it
- Beside a front garden border where a mains feed is simple to reach
- At the corner of a lawn, lighting shrubs from two angles
- In schemes where you want to avoid transformers and driver housings
How We Plan and Install Hunza Lighting
We have worked with Hunza since 2003. Our own work is designing lighting schemes for gardens, supplying Hunza fittings and installing them with NICEIC registered electricians. The project photographs on our Design Service page show our own completed schemes and describe how we plan, draw up and install them. Visit the page if you would like a scheme drawn up for your own space.
Good to Know
- Made to order: usually ships within 2 to 3 days. If your specification is temporarily out of stock, allow 3 to 5 weeks.
- Returns accepted within 14 days if the fitting is unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging.
- The LED chips are integrated, so there is no separate lamp to buy, and the LED board is field replaceable and the parts serviceable.
- A mains version, so no driver is needed. It cannot be dimmed.
- Expect solid copper to darken and patina outdoors. This is normal and not a fault.
- We recommend installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.
