Path Light on a Slim Copper Pole
The Hunza Pure LED Euro Twin Pole Light lifts two small spotlights on a slim 800mm pole, which makes it a neat way to light a path and the low planting beside it. The heads can be aimed in any direction or turned straight down so that no light spills upward. It is extra compact, made for spots where a light should stay modest. This low voltage version has an integrated Cree LED chip in each head.
Copper That Develops Its Own Character
This pole light is solid copper, and Hunza makes it to be left outside and allowed to patina. It starts bright and warm, goes brown with the seasons and can eventually turn a soft green. None of that is a defect, it is simply what copper does. The same fitting is also made in 316 stainless steel for a finish that stays consistent.
How It Works
- The arms rotate 360 degrees and tilt 0 to 90 degrees, and each head has a built in glare guard.
- Each head carries a replaceable Cree LED chip. The fitting delivers 420 lumens from 4 watts at 700mA, with a CRI of 90 or more at 3000K.
- You choose colour temperature (2200K, 2700K, 3000K or 4000K), beam angle (15, 25, 38 or 60 degrees) and a clear or frosted lens.
- Head bodies are 44mm across and 80mm long. The pole is 38mm across and 800mm long, with 1m of cable supplied.
- Forward voltage is 12V in total and 6V per head. It is wired in series, so a remote LED driver is needed, sold separately.
- Can be dimmed if you use a suitable dimmable driver.
- Rated IP56/IP66, with a 10 year warranty and 5 years on the LED.
Where It Works Best
- Beside a garden path, where it lights the surface and the foliage next to it
- In borders with low planting that needs a gentle wash of light
- At the edge of a terrace or steps, with the heads angled down
- Anywhere you want light at knee to waist height instead of from a tall post
Planning Your Scheme With Us
Moonlight Design has worked with Hunza since 2003. We design lighting schemes for gardens, supply Hunza fittings and install them, and the project photographs on our Design Service page show our own completed schemes and how we plan, draw up and fit them with NICEIC registered electricians. If you are not sure how many pole lights a path needs, start there.
Good to Know
- Made to order: usually ships within 2 to 3 days. If your specification is temporarily out of stock, allow 3 to 5 weeks.
- Returns accepted within 14 days if the fitting is unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging.
- The LED chips are integrated and the parts are serviceable, so there is no separate lamp to buy.
- Needs a remote LED driver, sold separately, and is wired in series. Your electrician should plan the circuit before installation.
- Copper darkens and patinas outdoors. That is normal and not a fault.
- We recommend installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.
