Description

There are garden lighting installations where only copper will do. It has a warmth and an authenticity that no synthetic material can really match, and when it is used in a water environment the way light plays across its surface and reflects into the pond adds a layer of character that stainless or painted alternatives simply do not offer. The Hunza Pond Light Weighted Base in Copper brings that material quality together with a cleverly practical installation approach.

The weighted base means you do not need to fix the light into the pond structure at all. It sits on the floor of the pond under its own considerable weight, held steady without drilling, without penetrating the liner and without any of the risk or disruption that comes with that approach. For existing ponds this is particularly valuable, and for new installations it gives you the ability to adjust the position of the light as the planting matures or as the pond environment develops over time.

Made from solid copper and hand assembled in New Zealand, this fitting is built to Hunza's exacting standards and rated to IP68 for full, continuous submersion. The adjustable arm allows you to direct the beam with precision, and the copper body will develop a beautiful natural patina as it ages, integrating visually into the pond environment in a way that gives the finished scheme a genuinely crafted feel.

Only Hunza approved LED lamps should be used with this fitting, as this is necessary to maintain the IP68 rating and the product warranty. It operates on low voltage and requires a compatible transformer. Ideal for garden ponds, koi ponds, wildlife ponds, natural swimming ponds, water gardens, decorative fountains and ornamental water features of all kinds. Not designed for swimming pool use.
