Description
Copper is one of those materials that improves with age rather than fighting against it. As it weathers and develops its natural patina, a copper pond light becomes part of the garden environment in a way that painted or plated alternatives simply cannot match. The Hunza Bracket Pond Light in Copper is made from solid copper, not copper plating over a lesser material, and it is hand assembled in New Zealand where Hunza has been crafting precision outdoor luminaires for decades.
Rated to IP68, this fitting is fully submersible and designed for continuous underwater installation. The adjustable arm allows full 360 degree rotation and tilt adjustment, so you can aim the beam exactly where you need it whether you are working in a formal raised pond, a naturalistic wildlife pond with gentle marginal planting, or a koi pond where you want to create that beautiful shimmering effect across the surface of the water.
The copper body will naturally develop a warmer, more organic appearance over time, which tends to look particularly beautiful in garden settings with stone, timber or planted surroundings. It is a distinctive choice for garden owners and designers who want something that feels genuinely considered rather than simply functional.
A Hunza approved LED lamp must be used to maintain the IP68 rating and the product warranty. This fitting operates on low voltage and requires a compatible transformer. It is perfect for decorative garden ponds, koi ponds, wildlife ponds, natural swimming ponds, water gardens, ornamental water features and fountains. It is not designed for swimming pool use.
The lifestyle and in situ photography on this page is taken entirely from our own Moonlight Design projects, carried out over more than 23 years of garden lighting design and installation. These are real ponds from real client gardens, showing exactly what you can achieve with Hunza copper pond lights installed properly by our team.

Questions People Ask
How does the Bracket Pond Light attach to a pond or fountain?
It is fixed using its adjustable bracket arm, which clamps onto the edge of a pond, a fountain surround or another fixed feature rather than sitting freely on the pond floor. The arm rotates a full 360 degrees and tilts, so the beam can be aimed precisely once it is fitted.
Is the copper finish real solid copper or a plated coating?
The body is solid copper throughout, not a plated or coated finish over another metal. That is why it is left unlacquered and allowed to develop a natural patina outdoors.
How deep can this light be submerged?
It carries an IP68 rating and is designed to be fully submersible on a continuous basis, up to 2 metres deep.
What lamp does it need, and is one included?
No lamp is supplied. It requires a Hunza approved MR16 LED lamp, and using anything else will affect the IP68 rating and invalidate the warranty.
Does it need a transformer?
Yes. This is a low voltage fitting and needs a compatible transformer to run, which is not included with the light itself.
Can it be used in a swimming pool?
No. It is designed for garden ponds, water gardens and ornamental features such as fountains, not for swimming pool installation.
