A Low Profile Copper Bollard for Decks and Posts
The Hunza Mini Bollard is a small, unobtrusive light for decks, railings and posts, giving soft effects rather than a bright glare. Its acrylic lens reflects light at two angles through an anti glare mesh, so some goes straight down onto the ground and some travels sideways to pick out the surrounding landscape. It needs mounting onto a solid substrate such as timber or concrete. This version is low voltage.
Copper That Develops a Patina
This one is made from copper, a natural finish that Hunza designs to weather outdoors. It begins bright and warm and deepens to brown, then in time to a soft green, rather like copper on a roof. It will not stay as it arrived, and that is the point of the material. If you would like a finish that stays put, the Mini Bollard is also made in 316 stainless steel and powder coated aluminium.
How It Works
- Diameter 63.5mm and height 95mm, supplied with 1m of cable. The product specification has more dimensions.
- Takes an MR16 LED lamp, which is not supplied. A Hunza approved LED must be used to maintain the IP rating and warranty.
- Low voltage and wired in parallel, so it also needs a transformer.
- Rated IP66, with a 10 year warranty and 5 years on the LED.

- Along the edge of a timber deck, marking steps and boundaries
- On posts and railings, where a small light at low level feels natural
- Beside a path set on a concrete base
- Anywhere you want a gentle pool of light instead of a spotlight
How We Plan and Install Hunza Lighting
Moonlight Design has worked with Hunza since 2003. We design lighting schemes for gardens, supply Hunza fittings and install them in real gardens. Good to Know
- Made to order: usually ships within 2 to 3 days. If your specification is temporarily out of stock, allow 3 to 5 weeks.
- Returns accepted within 14 days if the fitting is unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging.
- The lamp is not supplied and must be bought separately.
- A transformer is needed, also sold separately.
- Copper will darken and patina outdoors. This is normal and not a fault.
- We recommend installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Questions People Ask
Is a bulb included?
No. The Mini Bollard is not supplied with a lamp, and a Hunza approved MR16 LED must be used to keep the IP rating and warranty.
Do I need a transformer?
