The Hunza Lawn Light GU10 sits flush in turf, throwing a narrow column of light straight up rather than spreading sideways. This version pairs a solid bronze flange, the ring you actually see and stand on in the lawn, with a powder coated aluminium body below ground. It runs directly on mains power.

Solid bronze flange, powder coated body

The flange is solid bronze, not plated, so the visible ring will darken and develop a natural patina outdoors over the years, which Hunza treats as part of the design rather than a fault. The body beneath it, which sits below the surface once installed, is powder coated aluminium rather than bronze. If you want the fitting solid bronze throughout, including the buried body, Hunza also makes a fully cast solid bronze version of this light.

How it works

The head directs light up to 20 degrees off vertical, enough to angle the beam toward a nearby tree or shrub rather than straight up. A flush fit lens sits level with the lawn surface to stop water and dirt pooling on the glass. The recessed body is 96mm in diameter and around 90mm long, set into a 152mm flange.

It isn't supplied with a bulb, and to keep the IP rating and warranty valid, it must be run with a Hunza approved GU10 LED lamp. Because it runs on mains voltage, it doesn't need a transformer. The same fixture is also available as a low voltage version if you'd rather run it through a transformer with the rest of a low voltage circuit.

Where it works best

Suited to open lawn where the fitting needs to survive foot traffic without becoming a trip hazard, in installations already wired for mains power: lighting a specimen tree from below, marking the edge of a lawn near a path, or picking out a single feature in an otherwise dark stretch of grass.

Questions People Ask

Is this light solid bronze all the way through?
No. The flange, the ring visible at lawn level, is solid bronze. The body beneath the surface is powder coated aluminium. Hunza's Cast Solid Bronze Lawn Light is the fully solid bronze version if you need bronze throughout.

Will the bronze flange change colour over time?
Yes, left outdoors it will darken and develop a natural patina. This is expected and does not affect performance.

Do I need a transformer for this light?
No. This is the mains version, so it wires directly into a standard mains circuit.

Does it come with a bulb?
No. It takes a Hunza approved GU10 LED lamp, bought separately, which is required to keep the IP rating and 10 year warranty valid.

Is there a low voltage version?
Yes, the same fixture is available as a low voltage version for installations already running a transformer.
