A Quieter Kind of Stainless Steel Uplight
Some uplighters announce themselves. The Hunza Floor Light Darklighter does the opposite. It is a compact uplighter with minimal glare, and the matt black interior adds further glare control, so the eye goes to the lit surface and not to the fitting. This is the low voltage version in stainless steel, supplied with a mounting canister.
Brushed 316 Stainless Steel
The body is marine grade 316 stainless steel with a consistent brushed finish. In some environments it can develop a light surface tarnish, and regular washing keeps it looking clean. A solid copper Darklighter is available if you prefer a finish that ages naturally.
Specification at a Glance
- Canister 76mm in diameter and 203mm long, with a 100mm base and 1m of cable.
- Flange 88mm in diameter and 3mm deep, fitting a 63.5mm cut out.
- Lamp not supplied. A Hunza approved LED in the MR16 format keeps the IP rating and warranty intact.
- Wired in parallel at low voltage, so a transformer is required.
- IP67 rated, 10 year warranty.

Good to Know
- Made to order: usually ships within 2 to 3 days. If your specification is temporarily out of stock, allow 3 to 5 weeks.
- Returns accepted within 14 days if the fitting is unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging.
- You will need to buy the lamp separately, and it should be a Hunza approved LED.
- This low voltage fitting needs a transformer.
- A light surface tarnish can appear on stainless steel in some environments. Washing it regularly keeps it in check.
- Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting is installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.
