This is the Hunza Floor Light Darklighter Square in solid copper, a compact uplighter with minimal glare and a square flange. Inside, a matt black finish adds more glare control, so the light lands on your wall, planting or steps and the fitting stays low key. It runs at low voltage and arrives with a mounting canister.

Why Solid Copper Is Worth Having

Solid copper is a natural finish. Bright and warm when new, it deepens to brown and then a soft green as it weathers, and Hunza designs it to be left outdoors to do exactly that. Pair it with stone or timber and the colour change tends to look at home. If you would rather the finish did not change, choose the stainless steel version.

Measurements and Requirements

• Square flange 88mm wide and 7mm deep.
• Round canister 76mm in diameter and 203mm long, with a 100mm base and 1m of cable.
• 63.5mm cut out.
• Lamp not included. Choose a Hunza approved LED (MR16) so the IP rating and warranty are maintained.
• A transformer is needed, as the fitting is low voltage and wired in parallel.
• IP67 rated and covered by a 10 year warranty.

• Beside a brick or stone wall, where copper warms the surface
• Around a courtyard or entrance where you want neat, low glare uplighting
• Under a single feature tree in a lawn or gravel bed

• Copper darkens and patinas outdoors. This is normal and not a fault.
• Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting is installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Questions People Ask

Is the flange really square?
Yes. It measures 88mm wide and is 7mm deep, while the canister below it is round.

Will it stay copper coloured?
Not permanently. Solid copper patinas outdoors, going from bright copper to brown and then a soft green.

Does it include a lamp?
No. A Hunza approved MR16 LED is sold separately and should be used to maintain the warranty.

How is it wired?
It is a low voltage fitting wired in parallel, and it requires a transformer.
