Hunza Eave Light GU10 - Copper - Mains

The Hunza Eave Light GU10 in copper is a small recessed downlight that runs straight off the mains, no transformer needed. It sits into a soffit or eave and gives a neat pool of light straight down from the ceiling line.

Solid copper finish

• The visible face is solid copper, one of Hunza's genuine solid metal finishes rather than a plated surface.
• Expect the copper to darken and pick up a natural patina outdoors as it weathers. That is normal ageing for solid copper, not a defect.
• Colour swatches are available on request, since screen colours can only ever be a guide.

How it works

• This is a mains fitting, so it takes a GU10 lamp directly with no driver or transformer required.
• The cut out for the recessed body is 65mm.
• Wiring is parallel, so several fittings can be looped together along a soffit run.
• If you would rather run the light from a low voltage transformer with an MR16 lamp, the same body is also available as the Hunza Eave Light in copper, low voltage.

• Soffits and eaves where you want mains simplicity without running a transformer.
• Porches and entrance ceilings, for a single, unobtrusive downlight over a doorway.
• Garages and carports, recessed into the ceiling rather than mounted on the wall.

Moonlight Design has supplied Hunza's outdoor range since 2003. The GU10 mains versions tend to appeal to customers doing a smaller job who would rather avoid adding a transformer to the circuit.

Good to know

• Usually ships within 2 to 3 days. If out of stock, allow 3 to 5 weeks.
• Returns are accepted within 14 days provided the fitting is unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging.
• No bulb is supplied. Fit a Hunza approved GU10 LED lamp to keep the IP rating and warranty valid, other brands may not seal correctly and can let in water.
• Never install the fitting without a lamp in place, this affects the IP rating.
• We recommend installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.

• Do I need a transformer for this light? No, this GU10 version runs straight off the mains. The low voltage MR16 version needs a transformer if you prefer that setup.
• Will the copper finish stay bright and shiny? No, solid copper is left unlacquered so it can weather and darken naturally outdoors over time.
• What lamp do I need? A Hunza approved GU10 LED lamp, bought separately, since other GU10 lamps may not fit the housing correctly.
• Can I fit this without a bulb temporarily? No, the fitting should never be installed without a lamp in place as this affects the IP rating.
