Solid Copper Light for Pillars and Walls
Fix the Hunza Dual Lighter to a pier or wall and it lights the space around it in two ways at once. At the pagoda end, a lens reflects light horizontally and upwards for a general, ambient glow. At the pillar end, the light can be directed up or down to graze the surface behind it. You may also hear it called the Hunza Pillar Pagoda Light. This is the low voltage copper version.
A Copper Finish That Ages Naturally
Made in solid copper, with no plating or paint to wear through. Hunza intends it to weather outdoors. It starts bright and warm, then moves through brown and, with time, to a soft green, the way copper guttering and roofs do. If you want it to stay as it arrived, this is not the right metal, and the stainless steel or powder coated versions suit that better.
How It Works
- Pagoda end gives a spread of light sideways and upwards, while the pillar end lights up or down.
- Body is 63.5mm across and 202mm long, with a 75mm base that is 28mm deep and 1m of cable attached.
- Runs on low voltage, wired in parallel, and needs a transformer that you buy separately.
- No lamp is included. A Hunza approved LED is needed to protect the IP rating and warranty.
- IP66 rated, with a 10 year warranty.
- A GU10 mains version is also available.
Where It Works Best
- On the gate piers of a traditional brick entrance
- Along the edge of a courtyard wall
- Next to a pergola post where you want light at two heights
- At the side of a patio, set against stone or render
Planning Your Scheme With Moonlight Design
Our work with Hunza goes back to 2003. We design lighting schemes for gardens, supply Hunza fittings and install them with NICEIC registered electricians. Our Design Service page has project photographs of our own completed schemes, and explains how we plan and draw them up. Do have a look if you would like a scheme planned for your garden.
Good to Know
- Made to order: usually ships within 2 to 3 days. If your specification is temporarily out of stock, allow 3 to 5 weeks.
- Returns accepted within 14 days if the fitting is unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging.
- Copper will darken over time. That is the finish doing what it should.
- Transformer and lamp are both sold separately.
- We recommend installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.
