A Copper Spike Bollard for Borders and Soft Ground

The spike mounted Hunza GU10 Bollard is the easiest of the 300mm range to place among planting. It comes with a 145mm spike beneath a copper body that stands 300mm high, so it can be positioned where a flange or fixing plate would not suit. Light spreads across the ground around it and out into the garden, and the mains supply means there is no driver to find room for.

Solid Copper, Meant to Age

Every part of the body is solid copper, which Hunza expects to weather outdoors. Fresh from the box it has a bright, warm glow. With time it moves through brown towards a soft green, much like old copper guttering. That change is part of the appeal and is not a defect. The same bollard is available in marine grade 316 stainless steel and in powder coated aluminium.

How long is the spike on this bollard?
The spike is 145mm, and the body above it is 63.5mm in diameter and 300mm high.

Is this the same as the flange mounted bollard?
The lens and reflector are the same, but this one is spike mounted and stands 300mm high, while the flange versions have a different base and height.

Can I use a standard GU10 bulb?
A Hunza approved LED lamp is required to maintain the IP66 rating and the warranty. It is sold separately.

Does the copper need protecting?
No. It is designed to weather and patina naturally outdoors.
