A Slim Stainless Bollard on a 90mm Flange
The Hunza Bollard 300mm with a 90mm flange is a slender post light for the edges of gardens, driveways, walkways and car parks. Its mirror finished twin angle reflector sends light two ways at once, down onto the ground and out sideways across the surrounding landscape, so people can see where they are stepping and what lies around them. A UV stable acrylic lens with anti glare mesh keeps the source comfortable to look at.
Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel for Exposed Spots
The body is marine grade 316 stainless steel, which keeps a consistent brushed finish from one fitting to the next. In some environments stainless can pick up a light surface tarnish, and a regular wash keeps that in check. If you would like a warmer, ageing material, the same bollard is also made in copper and in powder coated aluminium.
How It Works
- The mirror finish twin angle reflector throws light onto the ground and horizontally at the same time.
- The lens is UV stable acrylic with an anti glare mesh.
- Body diameter 63.5mm and height 375mm, standing on a flange 90mm across, supplied with 1m of cable.
- It takes an MR16 lamp, which is not supplied. A Hunza approved LED lamp must be used to keep the IP rating and warranty.
- Low voltage and wired in parallel, so it needs a transformer, sold separately.
- Rated IP66 and backed by a 10 year warranty.
- This fitting is also available as a GU10 mains version.
Where It Works Best
- Along a gravel or paved driveway, spaced to mark the edge
- Beside garden paths and steps where you want light at a low level
- Around a car park or parking area at a house or business
- At the corners of a patio or terrace, set into a solid base
How We Plan and Install Hunza Lighting
Moonlight Design has worked with Hunza since 2003. We design lighting schemes for gardens, supply Hunza fittings and install them with NICEIC registered electricians. The project photographs on our Design Service page show our own completed lighting schemes, and how we plan and draw them up. If you are not sure how many bollards a path needs, that page is a good place to begin.
Good to Know
- Made to order: usually ships within 2 to 3 days. If your specification is temporarily out of stock, allow 3 to 5 weeks.
- Returns accepted within 14 days if the fitting is unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging.
- No lamp is supplied, so you will need to buy a Hunza approved LED separately.
- A transformer is needed, and it is sold separately.
- Stainless steel can show a light surface tarnish in some environments, and washing it regularly keeps it looking good.
- We recommend installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Questions People Ask
Where does the light from this bollard go?
The twin angle reflector sends light directly onto the ground and horizontally outward, lighting both the surface and the landscape around it.
Is a lamp included?
No. The fitting takes an MR16 lamp that is bought separately, and it must be a Hunza approved LED to keep the IP rating and warranty.
What is the body made from?
Marine grade 316 stainless steel.
Does it plug into the mains?
No. This is the low voltage version and needs a transformer. A GU10 mains version of the bollard is also available.
