Gold brings a polished warmth to the base that catches whatever light is around it, and the smoked shade holds the glow close and amber rather than spreading it wide. For a brighter, more evenly diffused light from the same gold base, the frosted shade is the alternative.

How It Works

Firefly charges on a Qi wireless dock or through its included USB-C cable, 4 to 6 hours for up to 140 hours of light on the lowest of three dimmable settings. Its aluminium and polycarbonate build, sealed with silicone, carries an IP65 rating, and it is controlled from the remote or a button on its underside. It measures 8.6cm across and 11.8cm tall, weighs 0.57lbs, and runs at a warm 2200K.

Humble was founded in Amsterdam in 2018 by Jorren Teertstra and fellow Dutch industrial design engineers Gert, Tom, Lenny and Douwe, with the ambition of building a wireless alternative to candlelight. Firefly is a direct expression of that idea, a lamp free to move like a flame without the danger one carries.
