Choosing Bronze and Smoked

The bronze base carries a warm, slightly aged tone that pairs naturally with wood and stone, and the smoked shade holds the light in rather than spreading it wide, giving a deeper, more contained glow. If a brighter, more evenly spread light is wanted from the same bronze base, the frosted shade is the alternative.

How It Works

Charging happens on a Qi wireless dock or through the included USB-C cable, 4 to 6 hours for up to 140 hours of light on the lowest of three dimmable settings. Built from aluminium and polycarbonate with silicone seals, Firefly is IP65 rated and controlled from the remote or a button on its underside. It measures 8.6cm across and 11.8cm tall, weighs 0.57lbs, and runs at a warm 2200K colour temperature.

Its IP65 rating means this Firefly can sit on a covered outdoor table as comfortably as a bedside or dining table indoors, moving between the two without ever needing a socket. The smoked shade's deeper glow particularly suits late evening dinners outside or a bedroom that wants a softer, less clinical light after dark.

Founded in Amsterdam in 2018 by Jorren Teertstra with fellow Dutch industrial design engineers Gert, Tom, Lenny and Douwe, Humble set out to build a wireless alternative to candlelight. Firefly reflects that ambition directly, a lamp built to move as freely as a naked flame while carrying none of the risk.
