The beige Bug softens its bold, curvy silhouette with a warm neutral finish, making it an easy fit for living rooms, cafés and hotel lounges where the lamp needs to sit comfortably in a room rather than dominate it, while still carrying the same smart features as the rest of the range.

Choosing Beige

Beige lets Bug's sculptural shape take centre stage without the finish itself competing for attention, working well against most wall colours and other furniture. For a bolder, more dressed up look in the same shape, the gold version is the alternative, or black for something more graphic.

How It Works

A rechargeable battery powers Bug, charged on a Qi wireless dock or via the included USB-C cable, 4 to 6 hours for up to 90 hours of light. Three modes cover candle, ambiance and work, from a flickering low glow to genuine task lighting. Built from aluminium and polycarbonate with silicone seals, Bug is IP65 rated and measures Ø3.9 x H11.3 inches. Zigbee 3.0 connectivity lets it join a Philips Hue, IKEA Tradfri or Tuya smart lighting setup through a compatible bridge, alongside its own onboard controls.

Made By Humble

Founded in Amsterdam in 2018 by Jorren Teertstra with fellow Dutch industrial design engineers Gert, Tom, Lenny and Douwe, Humble began with the aim of a wireless alternative to candlelight. Bug carries that idea forward from their first lamp, the Humble One, into a larger, smart home connected design.

Questions People Ask

Is beige likely to show marks more than the darker finishes? The aluminium finish is designed to be wiped clean easily, the neutral tone does not show fingerprints any more readily than gold or black.

Can several Bugs be controlled together through a smart home app? Yes, once paired to a compatible Zigbee bridge, multiple Bug lamps can be grouped and controlled together.

Does it work as a normal lamp without any smart home setup? Yes, the three onboard modes work on their own, Zigbee is entirely optional.
