A Wall Light With Nothing to Wire In

Finished in gold with a frosted bulb, this Bee wall light brings a soft, glowing warmth to spaces that have never had proper lighting, from a bathroom wall to a dark landing. It clips onto a small wall plate with no cabling in sight, so fitting it is a five minute job rather than an electrician's callout.

Choosing Gold and Frosted

Gold gives the fitting a warmer, more polished presence than the beige or black versions, catching the light rather than disappearing into the wall. Paired with a frosted bulb, the glow spreads evenly rather than concentrating in one spot. For a moodier, more contained light in the same gold finish, the smoked bulb version is the alternative.

How It Works

Power comes from an 8240mAh, 3.7V battery, charged separately and clipped back onto the wall plate once full, so nothing needs wiring or plugging in at the wall itself. The E27 low voltage LED bulb runs at 0.5W, 2300K, with a CRI of 93, and three dimming levels give 170 to 220 hours per charge on low, 60 to 80 on medium, and 30 to 40 on high. The fitting is Ø120 x H180mm, weighs 0.51kg, and is rated IP65.

Where It Works Best

An IP65 rating puts Bee within reach of bathroom zones 1 and 2, beside a bath, shower or sink, which is exactly where most mains wall lights are not allowed without rewiring (see our bathroom lighting zones guide for the detail). The gold finish also reads well in a hallway or above a console table where a small warm light is wanted without visible wiring.

Made By Humble

Humble began in Amsterdam in 2018, founded by Jorren Teertstra with fellow Dutch industrial design engineers Gert, Tom, Lenny and Douwe. They set out to build a wireless alternative to candlelight, and the Humble One, their first product, established the cordless format that Bee and every later design has continued.

Questions People Ask

Will the gold finish tarnish in a bathroom? The body is aluminium built to an IP65 rating, designed for damp bathroom conditions without corroding.

How is it fixed to the wall? A small wall plate is fitted first, then the light itself clips onto it magnetically and lifts off again for charging.

Can I dim it low enough for a nightlight? The lowest of the three settings is built for exactly that, running 170 to 220 hours per charge.
