Sperry sets a long, tungsten style filament bulb against a rectangular backplate and encloses it in ribbed glass, so the bulb's own shape becomes part of the design rather than being hidden away. It's a minimal, Manhattan inspired take on a wall light, built around the bulb itself.

The backplate and end fittings are finished in aged brass, warm and softly worn, framing a ribbed glass tube that adds texture and gently diffuses the view of the bulb inside without hiding its silhouette entirely.

How it works

Sperry takes a single E27 tubular (Type T) bulb rated up to 40W (not supplied), the elongated bulb shape being part of the intended look. It measures around 32cm in height and 8cm in width, projecting about 10cm from the wall, and weighs 1.9kg. As a mains wired fitting, it should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Its compact, minimal shape suits kitchens and dining rooms, particularly in pairs either side of a mirror, shelving unit or run of cabinetry where a simple, linear accent light is wanted.
