Hudson Valley Harper 2 Light Bath Bracket - Aged Brass

A textured brass base beneath a sleek band of opal glass

Harper brings together an embossed, textured metal base with a smooth run of opal glass, so this two light bracket reads as sleek from the front and considerably more detailed once you look closer at the base. It's built to sit either side of a mirror, giving even light across a vanity area rather than a single overhead source.

Aged brass finish with opal glass

This version comes in aged brass, a warm, softly weathered tone that suits traditional bathrooms built around brass fittings, wood cabinetry and warmer stone surfaces. Against the embossed brass base, the opal glass panel provides a plain, glowing contrast, spreading light evenly rather than as a sharp point.

How it works

Each Harper bracket takes two E27 bulbs, maximum 40W each (not supplied), diffused through the opal glass for a soft, shadow free spread of light. It measures around 53cm in height and 13cm in width, projecting about 13cm from the wall. Being a mains wired fitting, it should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Harper is built as a bathroom vanity light, most often fitted in a pair either side of a mirror for balanced, even lighting when applying makeup or shaving. It carries an IP20 rating, so while it's designed for bathroom use, its position still needs to fall outside the zones nearest a bath, shower or basin under UK wiring regulations. Your electrician should confirm the exact placement before installing.
