A hooded sconce in solid, textured cast brass

Diggs is a compact hooded wall light cast in solid brass with a deliberately textured surface, giving it a handmade, tactile quality rather than a smooth, machined finish. The hood directs its integrated LED downward, so it reads as much as a sculptural wall object as a light source.

Aged brass finish, cast and textured

This version is finished in aged brass, a warm metal tone with the same textured surface running through the whole piece, so the finish has genuine depth rather than sitting as a flat coating. That texture also means small variations in surface and tone from piece to piece are normal.

How it works

Diggs uses a 10W integrated LED rated at 175 lumens and 2700K, a warm white light with a CRI of 90, and it's compatible with TRIAC dimmer systems. It measures around 13cm in height and 21cm in width, projecting about 9cm from the wall, and weighs 2.2kg. As a mains wired fitting, installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Its compact, hooded form suits living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways where a small, characterful downlight is wanted, for example flanking a fireplace, above a console table or spaced along a hallway. The textured aged brass finish suits interiors built around handcrafted or artisanal detailing.
