Nine hand blown opal glass globes cluster together on a warm brass frame, turning a familiar cluster silhouette into something softer and more sculptural. Each globe sits on its own adjustable arm, so you can shape the fitting into a loose, organic grouping rather than a rigid symmetrical form. Hung low over a dining table or centred above a staircase void, it reads as a genuine piece of sculpture as much as a light source, catching the eye even before it's switched on.

The brass finish

The body and rose are finished in brass, giving the fitting a warm, lived in glow rather than a hard mirror shine. It sits comfortably against wood, brick and darker paint colours, and pairs particularly well with warm neutrals, deep greens or terracotta tones. The opal glass globes are gently frosted rather than clear, so the brass hardware stays visible while the glass itself diffuses the light to a soft, even glow.

How it works

Nine G9 fittings sit inside the opal glass globes, each on its own arm so the drop and angle of every globe can be adjusted individually once installed. The fixture is dimmable, so the mood can be turned down for evenings or brightened up for everyday use. Bulbs are not included, so you'll need nine G9 bulbs of your choice, with a 3w LED giving a good balance of brightness and running cost. This is a hardwired mains fitting rather than a plug in pendant, and some assembly is required when it arrives, along with wiring in by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Its scale and adjustable arms suit rooms with a bit of height and space to let the cluster spread out, think open plan dining areas, double height hallways, or above a staircase where it can be seen from more than one level. It also makes a strong centrepiece over a kitchen island or a large dining table, where the nine globes can be arranged to follow the shape of the space below. Because the light it gives off is soft and diffused rather than sharp, it works well anywhere you want ambient, sociable lighting rather than task lighting.
