A bigger, bolder Wexley
The Hinkley Wexley 5 Light Pendant scales up the same bold oval glass design as the smaller 3 light Wexley, spreading five lights across a wider fitting for a fuller, more prominent spread of light. It's a large pendant, with a drop that adjusts from 79.6cm up to 388.7cm, built for a bigger table or a taller ceiling.
Heritage Brass and glass
Steel construction carries a Heritage Brass finish, paired with bold oval glass shades and crystal accents for a look with real vintage character. The warm brass tone works well against dark cabinetry, exposed brick or panelled walls, and pairs naturally with brass door and cabinet hardware elsewhere in the room.
How it works
Five E14 LED lamps sit behind the oval glass shades, though bulbs aren't supplied so you'll need to add your own. The pendant is dimmable if you fit dimmable bulbs. It's rated Class I, which means it needs an earthed connection. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting. It has an adjustable suspension so you can set the drop to suit your space.
Where it works best
This is the larger of the two Wexley pendants, suited to a substantial dining table, a large kitchen island or an entrance hall with a higher ceiling, wherever a bigger, more prominent light is wanted. The adjustable drop makes it easy to set the right height above a table or island.
The story behind Hinkley
Hinkley began in 1922, when Phil R. Hinkley set up a small outdoor lantern maker in Cleveland, Ohio, with a debut catalogue of just 14 products. Stanley Wiedemer, a travelling salesman from Kansas City, bought into the business in the mid-1930s and took over fully after Phil's death in 1937, moving his family to Cleveland to run the company. His grandson Rick joined as third generation in 1969, and by around 2000 the fourth generation, Kristi, Jess and Eric Wiedemer, were taking on leadership roles, growing the range to include larger, more decorative pieces like this five light Wexley pendant. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has manufactured and adapted Hinkley's designs for the UK and Europe, converting fittings such as this Heritage Brass Wexley to 220 to 240V wiring with full CE certification.

How many bulbs does the Wexley 5 Light Pendant need, and are they included? It takes 5 x E14 LED bulbs. Bulbs aren't included, so you'll need to add these to your order.
Can this pendant be dimmed? Yes, as long as you fit dimmable E14 bulbs. Standard, non dimmable bulbs won't work with a dimmer switch.
How big is this pendant, and how far can the drop be adjusted? The pendant itself measures 69.6cm high and 45.6cm wide, and the suspension adjusts from a minimum drop of 79.6cm up to a maximum of 388.7cm, so it can be set for both standard and much higher ceilings.
Do I need an electrician to install this pendant? Yes. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting, and given its size and weight of 7.5kg, it should be fixed to a ceiling point that can support it.
