A bold American West lantern in Buckeye Bronze
The Walker Large Wall Lantern is the biggest fitting in Hinkley's Walker range, built around the same big, angular lines the collection is known for. Two lamps sit behind a clear glass shade, framed by a welded aluminium body finished in a warm Buckeye Bronze.
Buckeye Bronze finish
The body is aluminium, finished in Buckeye Bronze, a warm, deep bronze tone that reads almost brown in daylight. The welded outer frame wraps around the glass rather than simply holding it, giving the fitting a solid, architectural look that suits stone, brick and render exteriors alike.
How it works
This lantern takes two E14 bulbs, which aren't included so you'll need to add your own. It will work with dimmable bulbs if you want to dim it. It's wired to Class I, which means it needs an earth connection. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

With an IP44 rating, this lantern is built for life outdoors and copes well with wind and rain. Its scale suits bigger porches, wide door surrounds or gateposts, spots where its size and welded detailing can be seen properly rather than crowded.
The story behind Hinkley
Hinkley started out in 1922 as a small outdoor lantern maker in Cleveland, Ohio, founded by Phil R. Hinkley with a debut catalogue of just 14 products. A century on, outdoor lanterns like this Walker design are still central to the range, just bigger and bolder than those first pieces. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has manufactured and adapted Hinkley's designs for the UK and Europe, converting fittings like this one to 220 to 240V wiring with full CE certification.
