The Sussex 2 Light Wall Light is the two arm version of the single Sussex design, giving a wider spread of light and a fuller shape on the wall. Each arm carries a clear glass column with a candle style detail beneath a soft linen shade, and this version is finished in Brushed Nickel.

Brushed Nickel is a warm, low sheen metal that sits comfortably against most wall colours and other nickel finished hardware in the room. The shade on each arm is linen, paired with a clear glass column and candle style detail beneath it. The Sussex 2 Light Wall Light is also available in other finishes if Brushed Nickel is not the right match for your space.
How it works
Each of the two arms takes an E14 bulb, so you will need two bulbs in total and neither is supplied. It is dimmable, provided you fit dimmable bulbs and use a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting is wired to the mains and mounts flat to the wall on a steel backplate. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting. It is a Class I fitting, which needs an earth connection.
Where it works best
The two light spread gives more presence than a single wall light, which suits hallways, staircases and larger living rooms. It also works well as a bedside pair, or fitted either side of a mirror in a bedroom or dining room.
The story behind Hinkley
Hinkley began in Cleveland, Ohio in 1922, when Phil R. Hinkley launched the company with a debut catalogue of just 14 outdoor lantern designs. After Phil became ill in the mid 1930s, Stanley Wiedemer, a travelling salesman from Kansas City, bought into the business, and took over fully after Phil's death in 1937, moving his own family to Cleveland to run it. The Sussex 2 Light Wall Light, with its linen shade and glass detail, sits a long way from those first lanterns and reflects how far the range has grown across three more generations of the Wiedemer family since. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has adapted designs like this one for UK homes, converting the wiring to 220 to 240V and giving it full CE certification.
