The Sag Harbor Single Small Wall Lantern is Hinkley's compact take on a classic outdoor lantern, sized for a narrower door surround or a smaller porch where a bigger fitting would overwhelm the space. One E27 lamp sits behind a clear glass panel, so the light spreads out evenly rather than throwing a tight beam, and the fitting is built to cope with life outdoors.

Painted burnished bronze finish

This version is finished in painted burnished bronze over an aluminium frame, giving it a warm, aged brown bronze tone that sits well against brick, render or painted timber. The clear glass panel keeps the lamp visible from the street, so the lantern still reads as a proper fixture even when it's switched off.

How it works

The lantern takes one E27 LED lamp, which isn't included, so you'll need to add a suitable bulb to your order. It's dimmable if you fit a dimmable bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch. This is a Class I fitting, which means it needs to be properly earthed. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting. It comes ready to fix to a wall using the fixings provided.

The story behind Hinkley

Hinkley started life in 1922 as a small outdoor lantern maker in Cleveland, Ohio, when Phil R. Hinkley launched the business with a debut catalogue of just fourteen products. A century on, compact outdoor lanterns like this Sag Harbor design are still part of what the company does best. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has manufactured and adapted Hinkley's designs for the UK and Europe, converting fittings like this one to 220 to 240V wiring with full CE certification, so a design rooted in an American coastal town works safely on a British doorstep.
