A single drop with rustic character
The Middlefield Single Mini Pendant takes the collection's rustic look and puts it into one compact drop. It suits use on its own above a small table, or repeated in a row along a kitchen island or breakfast bar. In Iron Rust, this mini pendant carries the same solid distressed wood and steel build as the rest of the Middlefield range, just at a smaller scale.
Distressed wood and steel in Iron Rust
The frame combines solid distressed wood with steel, giving the pendant a weathered, historical look rather than a plain modern one. A pear shaped wood finial sits at the base of the shade and can hang inside or outside the frame, depending on the look you prefer. The Iron Rust finish deepens that rustic character and pairs naturally with reclaimed wood, dark metal and other industrial style fittings.
How it works
This pendant takes 1 x E27 LED bulb, which is not supplied, so you will need to add one to your order. It is dimmable when used with dimmable LED bulbs. The drop rod is adjustable from 35.4cm to 110.4cm, so you can set the height to suit your ceiling and the table or counter below. This is a Class I fitting, which means it requires an earthed electrical connection. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

The story behind Hinkley
Hinkley started in 1922 when Phil R. Hinkley began making lanterns in Cleveland, Ohio, with a debut catalogue of just fourteen products. When Phil became ill in the mid 1930s he sold half the business to Stanley Wiedemer, a travelling salesman who took over the company completely after Phil died in 1937 and moved his family to Cleveland to run it. Stanley's grandson Rick Wiedemer joined the business in 1969 and stayed at its helm for fifty years, carrying the company through to a fourth generation of the Wiedemer family. This mini pendant belongs to that long running family business, and since 2012 has been adapted by Elstead Lighting for UK homes, converted to 220 to 240V wiring and given full CE certification.
