A wall light with clean, architectural lines
The Lanza 2 light wall light brings a rectangular, geometric silhouette to a standard interior wall fitting. Two lamps sit behind a linen shade with an acrylic lens, giving a softened glow rather than a hard, direct beam. In this Antique Nickel finish, the metalwork reads cool and understated rather than warm or brassy.

The frame is steel, finished in Antique Nickel for a slightly aged, muted metal tone rather than a bright, polished shine. It sits well against painted walls, wallpaper, wood panelling and stone. The same Lanza wall light is also available in Brushed Bronze and Oil Rubbed Bronze, so you can match it to warmer or darker schemes elsewhere in the range.
How it works
This is a wall mounted fitting taking two E14 bulbs, sold without bulbs so you will need to add your own LEDs to the order. It is dimmable, but only when fitted with dimmable bulbs and used on a dimmer circuit. It is rated Class I, which means it needs to be properly earthed. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.
Where it works best
The Lanza works well in hallways and on landings, either side of a bedroom mirror, or as a pair flanking a fireplace or console table in a living or dining room. Because the light is diffused through the linen shade, it gives a gentle wash rather than a spotlight, which suits spaces where you want ambient light rather than task lighting.
The story behind Hinkley
Hinkley started out in 1922 as a small outdoor lantern maker in Cleveland, Ohio, with a debut catalogue of just fourteen products. A geometric, indoor wall light like this Lanza is a long way from those early lanterns, and shows how far the range has grown under four generations of the Wiedemer family since Stanley Wiedemer took over the business in the 1930s. Since 2019 the company has traded simply as Hinkley, having dropped "Lighting" from its name as it expanded into ceiling fans. In the UK, Elstead Lighting has manufactured and adapted Hinkley's designs since 2012, converting fittings like this one to 220 to 240V wiring with full CE certification.

Questions People Ask
Is this wall light dimmable? Yes, as long as you fit dimmable LED bulbs and use it on a compatible dimmer switch. With standard, non-dimmable bulbs it will only work as an on/off fitting.
Do bulbs come with it? No. It takes 2 x E14 bulbs, and you will need to add these to your order separately.
Can I install this myself? We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting. It is a Class I fitting. It needs to be properly earthed as part of that installation.
