A hanging lantern with the same understated character
Where the wall lantern sits flush to the house, the Huntersfield Single Small Chain Lantern hangs suspended, giving the same clean lined, seeded glass design a slightly different presence for covered outdoor spaces.
Finish and materials
It's built from aluminium and brass and finished in black, matching the rest of the Huntersfield range for a consistent look wherever it's used around the property.
How it works
This single light lantern hangs from a chain and should be wired in and hung by a qualified electrician. This fitting doesn't come with a bulb, so you'll need to add one to your order.
Where it works best
Rated IP44, it's suited to covered porches, verandas and entranceways where it's sheltered from direct rain but still exposed to the outdoor environment.
The story behind Hinkley
Kansas City salesman Stanley Wiedemer had no reason to expect he'd end up running a Cleveland lantern company, until Hinkley founder Phil Hinkley's tuberculosis diagnosis in the 1930s led him to buy in as a half owner. When Phil died four years later in 1937, Stanley bought out what remained of the business and brought his own family into Cleveland to run it day to day. This hanging Huntersfield lantern, still true to the brand's outdoor lighting origins, has been adapted for the UK by Elstead Lighting since 2012 on 220 to 240V wiring with CE certification.
