The Hadley 3 Light Flush Fitting sits close against the ceiling rather than hanging down, so it keeps the collection's retro styled shade while working in rooms where a pendant would not fit. This version is finished in Polished Chrome, giving it a cooler, more reflective look than the darker metals in the Hadley range.

Chrome finish and etched glass

The frame is mild steel finished in Polished Chrome, paired with a single piece opal etched glass shade that diffuses light rather than showing the bulbs directly. The same design is also available in a Nickel finish if you would prefer a slightly warmer tone.

How it works

Three E27 lamp positions sit behind the shade. Bulbs are not included, so you will need to add your own, and you can dim the light if you choose dimmable LED bulbs. This is a Class I fitting, which means it needs to be properly earthed. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

The story behind Hinkley

Hinkley started out in 1922 as a small outdoor lantern maker in Cleveland, Ohio, with a debut catalogue of just fourteen products. The Wiedemer family took over in the 1930s and have run the company ever since, with a fourth generation, Kristi, Jess and Eric Wiedemer, beginning to take on leadership roles around 2000. A design like Hadley, made for compact indoor ceilings rather than a porch or a garden wall, shows how far the range has grown from those first outdoor lanterns. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has adapted Hinkley's designs for the UK, including the wiring changes needed to bring fittings like this one to 220 to 240V.

Is the Hadley flush fitting dimmable? Yes. It works with dimmable LED bulbs, so as long as you fit dimmable E27 bulbs and use a compatible dimmer switch, you can dim this fitting.
