The Hadley 3 Light Flush Fitting in Brushed Bronze keeps the same slim, retro shaped silhouette as the rest of the Hadley collection, but in a warmer, more textured tone than the collection's Chrome or Oil Rubbed Bronze options. Its low profile and single piece etched opal glass shade make it a good fit for rooms where every centimetre of ceiling height counts.

The frame is finished in Brushed Bronze, a soft, understated tone that sits between silver and warm brass, with a light texture rather than a high shine. It's paired with a single piece of etched opal glass, which spreads light evenly across its surface instead of showing the bulbs as separate points of light. A mild steel frame keeps the whole fitting slim and close to the ceiling.

How it works

Three E27 lamp positions sit behind the opal shade, giving an even spread of light rather than a single bright spot. Bulbs aren't included, so you'll need to add three E27 bulbs to your order. This is a Class I fitting, which means it needs to be connected to an earthed electrical supply. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

The story behind Hinkley

Hinkley began in 1922 as a small outdoor lantern maker in Cleveland, Ohio, founded by Phil R. Hinkley with a debut catalogue of just fourteen products. A slim indoor flush fitting like Hadley sits a long way from that first line of lanterns, a distance covered largely by the Wiedemer family, who took over the business from the 1930s onwards and carried it through three further generations. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has manufactured Hinkley's designs for the UK and Europe, adapting fittings like this one to 220 to 240V wiring and full CE certification.
