A large chandelier for a proper high ceiling
The Fulton 7 light chandelier sits in the middle of the range, bigger than the single pendant but a step below the largest 13 light version. It is also a genuinely large fixture in its own right, with a drop that adjusts from 124.8cm up to 216.2cm and a width of 70.3cm. Please check these measurements against your space before ordering, ideally against a ceiling height that gives the open cage design room to hang properly.
Bronze finish, no glass
Made from mild steel and finished in bronze, the frame carries seven square candle sleeves openly on a cluster shaped like an H, with no glass anywhere in the design. It is a clean, industrial look that pairs well with exposed brick, dark wood and other tactile, unfussy materials.
How it works
This chandelier takes 7 x E27 bulbs, which are not included, so you will need to add seven to your order. It is dimmable if you fit dimmable bulbs. The fitting is Class I, which means it requires earthing to a suitable supply. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.
Where it works best
This is an indoor fitting suited to a dining room, hallway or stairwell with generous ceiling height, spaces where the open, tapered cage design can hang freely without feeling cramped. It works particularly well as a focal point over a dining table or rising through a stairwell.
The story behind Hinkley
Hinkley started out in 1922 as a small outdoor lantern maker in Cleveland, Ohio, with a debut catalogue of just fourteen products. Growth came through family: Stanley Wiedemer bought into the business in the 1930s and took full ownership in 1937, moving his family from Kansas City to Cleveland to run it. By the time his grandson Rick Wiedemer joined in 1969, beginning a fifty year career with the company, Hinkley's range had grown far beyond that first small catalogue. Today's Fulton collection reflects that scale, spanning a single pendant right up through this 7 light chandelier to a 13 light version, plus wall and flush options. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has manufactured and adapted designs like this one for the UK, converting them to 220 to 240V wiring with full CE certification.
