Heritage Brass finish
Made from mild steel and glass, this semi-flush ceiling light wears a Heritage Brass finish across its cast knobs, hinges and stems, giving it a warm, lived-in glow rather than a hard polished shine. The warm brass tone pairs well with dark cabinetry, reeded glass and other aged metal finishes, and sits comfortably alongside other pieces from the Collier collection.
How it works
This is a semi-flush fitting, so it sits close to the ceiling on short stems rather than hanging on a long drop. It takes 4 x E14 bulbs, which are LED compatible but not supplied, so you will need to add your own when you order. It is dimmable as long as you fit dimmable bulbs. This is a Class I fitting, wired with an earth connection. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

The story behind Hinkley
Hinkley began in 1922, when Phil R. Hinkley started out making outdoor lanterns in Cleveland, Ohio, with a debut catalogue of just 14 products. When Phil became ill in the mid-1930s he sold half the business to Stanley Wiedemer, a travelling salesman from Kansas City, and after Phil's death in 1937 Stanley bought the remaining half and moved his family to Cleveland to run it. The Wiedemers have kept the business in the family ever since, with a third generation joining in 1969 and a fourth taking on leadership roles from around 2000. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has adapted Hinkley's designs, including pieces like this Collier semi-flush fitting, for UK wiring and full CE certification.
