The Hinkley Collier three light small semi-flush fitting brings the collection's period character into rooms that don't need its larger sibling's scale. Heritage Brass and cast detail

This variant pairs a Heritage Brass finish with mild steel and glass, carrying the cast knob, hinge and stem detailing that runs through the wider Collier range. The warm brass tone works well against dark cabinetry, panelled walls or exposed brick, and the collection is also available in other colourways if brass isn't the fit you're after.

How it works

It takes three E14 bulbs, which aren't included, so you'll need to add your own. The fitting is dimmable if you fit dimmable bulbs. It's wired to Class I, which means it requires an earth connection. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

The story behind Hinkley

Hinkley started in 1922 as a small outdoor lantern maker in Cleveland, Ohio, with a debut catalogue of just fourteen products. Founder Phil R. Hinkley sold half the business to travelling salesman Stanley Wiedemer in the mid 1930s after becoming unwell, and Stanley took over fully when Phil died in 1937, moving his family from Kansas City to Cleveland to run the company. His grandson Rick Wiedemer Jr joined in 1969 for a career spanning fifty years, and by the early 2000s the fourth generation, Kristi, Jess and Eric Wiedemer, had begun taking on leadership roles themselves. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has manufactured and adapted Hinkley's designs for UK and European homes, converting fittings like this smaller Collier semi-flush to 220 to 240V wiring with full CE certification.
