How it works

Three E14 bulbs sit behind the linen shade and domed diffuser, held inside a solid trim ring, giving an even spread of light rather than a single bright glare. Bulbs aren't included, so you'll need to add 3 x E14 LED bulbs to your order. It's dimmable if you use dimmable bulbs. This is a semi-flush fitting, designed to sit close to the ceiling, so it suits rooms with lower ceilings where a pendant would hang too low. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting. It's wired to Class I, which means it needs an earth connection.

The story behind Hinkley

Hinkley started out in 1922 as a small outdoor lantern maker in Cleveland, Ohio, with a debut catalogue of just 14 products. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has manufactured and adapted Hinkley's designs for the UK and Europe, converting fittings like this one to 220 to 240V wiring with full CE certification. Around 2000, the fourth generation of the Wiedemer family, Kristi, Jess and Eric, began taking on leadership roles, continuing a business that stayed family run since Stanley Wiedemer took full control in 1937.
