This version is finished in Brushed Caramel, a warm, honeyed metal tone that sits well against the off-white fabric shade, with cast decorative knobs adding a refined vintage touch to the trim ring.

How it works

Three lamps sit behind a domed bottom diffuser, held inside a heavy trim ring for an even, diffused spread of light rather than a single bright source. This fitting doesn't come with bulbs, so you'll need to add these to your order. It's designed to sit close to the ceiling, making it suitable for lower ceilings where a pendant would hang too far down.

Charlotte works well in hallways, bedrooms, dining rooms or landings, anywhere a softer, more ambient light is wanted from a fitting that still carries traditional detailing rather than a plain modern shade.

The story behind Hinkley

After founder Phil Hinkley's death in 1937, Stanley Wiedemer took full control of the business and relocated his family to Cleveland to run it directly. It was Stanley's son Rick who then spent the next fifty years, starting in 1969, building the company from the factory floor upward before eventually becoming CEO himself.
