The Hinkley Carabel 2 Light Wall Light brings the collection's pierced, scrolling metalwork to a fitting you mount rather than hang. It keeps the same Brushed Champagne finish as the rest of the range, in a shape sized for walls instead of ceilings.

Brushed Champagne finish

The steel frame is finished in Brushed Champagne, a warm, muted gold tone that catches the light along its pierced scroll detailing. Ivory linen shades sit over etched diffusers on each of the two lamp positions, softening the glow and adding texture against the metalwork.

How it works

Two E14 lamp holders sit behind the linen shades and etched diffusers. Bulbs aren't supplied, so plan to add two E14 LED lamps to your order. The fitting is Class I, so it needs to be properly earthed. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

Where it works best

As a wall light rather than a pendant, it works well either side of a mirror, along a hallway, or flanking a bed in a bedroom where a hanging fitting would get in the way. It also suits a dining room wall or a living room, anywhere you want a softer accent light at eye level rather than overhead.

The story behind Hinkley

Hinkley started in 1922 as a small outdoor lantern maker in Cleveland, Ohio, with a debut catalogue of just 14 products. The Wiedemer family took over not long after, and by 1969 third generation Rick Wiedemer Jr had joined a business that, over a 50 year career, grew far beyond that first line of lanterns. By the time the fourth generation, Kristi, Jess and Eric Wiedemer, began taking on leadership roles around 2000, the range had expanded into the kind of varied indoor pieces the Carabel wall light belongs to. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has manufactured and adapted Hinkley's designs for UK and European homes, converting fittings like this one to 220 to 240V wiring with full CE certification.
