The Hinkley Cambridge 15 Light Chandelier is the largest piece in the Cambridge collection, cast in solid brass with fifteen individual lights arranged for a room that wants real presence overhead. This is a genuinely large fitting, with an adjustable drop from 104cm to 404cm, a 94cm diameter and a weight of 32kg. Please check these measurements against your space before ordering.
Burnished brass finish
This variant is finished in burnished brass, a warm, aged tone achieved by hand rather than a uniform factory coat. Because the finish is applied by hand, colour can vary slightly from piece to piece, and it may also look different on screen to how it appears in person. Cast in solid brass throughout, the frame carries the beaded ball fonts and clear optic glass details found across the wider Cambridge range.
How it works
Fifteen E14 bulbs sit across the frame. Bulbs aren't included, so you'll need to order these separately. The fitting is dimmable if dimmable bulbs are fitted. It's wired to Class I, which means it needs an earth connection. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting. Given its size and weight, it's delivered on a pallet to UK mainland addresses, with kerbside delivery as standard, so get in touch before ordering if you need it taken beyond ground floor.

The story behind Hinkley
Hinkley's very first catalogue in 1922 ran to just fourteen products, all outdoor lanterns made in Cleveland, Ohio by founder Phil R. Hinkley. When Phil died in 1937, Stanley Wiedemer, who had already bought half the business a few years earlier, took on the rest and moved his own family from Kansas City to Cleveland to run the company in person. That willingness to commit fully to the business, rather than manage it from a distance, is worth remembering next to a piece as ambitious as this fifteen light Cambridge chandelier. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has adapted Hinkley's designs for the UK and Europe, converting fittings like this one to 220 to 240V wiring with full CE certification.
