This version comes in Brushed Nickel, a soft, warm metal tone that sits between silver and grey and works well against most wall colours. How it works

The Bolla takes a single E27 LED bulb, which isn't included, so you'll need to add one when you order. It's dimmable if you fit a dimmable bulb, but stays a fixed brightness with a standard one. This is a Class I fitting, which means it needs to be properly earthed. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

The story behind Hinkley

Hinkley started small. When Phil R. Hinkley founded the company in Cleveland, Ohio in 1922, his debut catalogue held just 14 products, most of them outdoor lanterns. A single arm wall light like the Bolla, sized for a hallway or a bedside rather than a grand room, sits closer to that original scale than some of the label's larger pieces. The business passed down through the Wiedemer family, from Stanley's grandson Rick, who joined in 1969, to Kristi, Jess and Eric Wiedemer, who began taking on leadership roles around 2000. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has manufactured and adapted Hinkley's designs for the UK and Europe, converting fittings like this one to 220 to 240V wiring with full CE certification.
