The Bolla 3 Light Chandelier carries the same sweeping arms, sphere details and bell shaped glass shades as the larger Bolla fittings, in a more compact three arm frame finished in Brushed Nickel throughout. Compact is relative here though: it's still a 57.2cm wide frame with a drop that adjusts from 58cm up to 210.5cm, so it's worth measuring your ceiling height and space before you order.

Brushed Nickel finish

Brushed Nickel gives the frame a soft, contemporary sheen that catches the light without being too shiny. It's made from glass and mild steel, and pairs well with modern and transitional interiors where you want a chandelier that feels a little less traditional.

How it works

This chandelier takes 3 x E27 LED bulbs, which aren't supplied, so you'll need to add three to your order. It's dimmable if you fit dimmable bulbs. The fitting is Class I, which means it needs an earth connection. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

The story behind Hinkley

Hinkley started out in 1922 as a small outdoor lantern maker in Cleveland, Ohio, when Phil R. Hinkley launched a debut catalogue of just fourteen products. The company passed to the Wiedemer family in the 1930s, and by around 2000 the fourth generation, Kristi, Jess and Eric Wiedemer, had begun taking on leadership roles. A three arm chandelier with sphere details and bell shaped glass is a long way from those first lanterns, a sign of how far the range has grown since. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has manufactured and adapted Hinkley's designs for UK and European homes, converting each fitting to 220 to 240V wiring with full CE certification, which is how this Brushed Nickel Bolla chandelier ended up on British ceilings.
