Two lights, one traditional design

The Ainsley 2 light wall light doubles up the collection's traditional silhouette, pairing two cased opal glass shades on retro modern turned cups for a fuller spread of light. It's the same considered detailing as the single version, just with more presence on the wall.

Finish and materials

Finished in Polished Chrome, this fixture suits bathrooms and hallways already fitted out with chrome accessories. Both opal glass shades are cased to diffuse light softly rather than showing bare bulbs, and each is finished with a matching trim ring.

How it works

This wall light takes two 3W LED G9 bulbs and mounts flush to the wall on a standard plate. Bulbs aren't included, so you'll need to add two G9s to your order to get it working, and it's compatible with dimmable G9 bulbs if you'd like it on a dimmer. We always recommend a qualified electrician handles installation.

With a genuine IP44 rating, the Ainsley 2 light wall light is suitable for bathroom zones 2 and outside zone, in line with our bathroom lighting zones and regulations guide. Either side of a mirror or above a vanity unit, the twin lights give more even illumination than a single fitting.

The story behind Hinkley

Hinkley's history took an unexpected turn in the 1930s, when founder Phil R. Hinkley contracted tuberculosis and sold half of the business he had built to Stanley Wiedemer, a travelling salesman from Kansas City. When Phil died in 1937, Stanley bought the remaining share and relocated his family to Cleveland to run the company himself, laying the foundation for generations of family ownership that continue today. That same family business now reaches UK homes through Elstead Lighting, which has partnered with Hinkley since 2012 to adapt designs like this Ainsley fitting for 220 to 240V electrics.
