Harte Vintage Tear Drop 2.8m Lamp Post - Cast Iron, Steel & Copper Head

This 2.8 metre lamp post, one of the tallest in the Vintage Tear Drop range, is finished with a copper head rather than the standard black, a genuine change of material that reads clearly even at this height, set against a larger scale of grounds or entrance.

Cast iron, steel and a copper head

The post is cast iron and galvanised steel, finished in gloss black, with a copper head left in its natural, unpainted tone. Harte's guarantee against cracking, bending or breaking under normal conditions applies to the cast iron and steel elements; the copper head falls outside that guarantee, in line with Harte's policy on copper parts.

How it works

A clear polycarbonate lens diffuses the light within the head. It requires connection to mains wiring and a fixed base, and given the height of the post, professional installation is strongly recommended.

Where it works best

Suited to larger grounds, long avenues, or commercial and public settings, the copper head gives this tall post a more distinguished look than the plain black version, without changing its scale or function.

This lamp post comes from Harte Outdoor Lighting, a family run manufacturer based in New Ross, County Wexford, founded by Willie Harte in 1983 and now continued by Liz Harte and the next generation, including Jack and Sam Harte. Harte says its lighting is installed at notable Irish locations including Áras an Uachtaráin, Adare Manor and the K Club, as well as private estates and public and commercial projects across Ireland and the UK.
