Harte Vintage Tear Drop 2.8m Lamp Post - Cast Iron & Steel

At 2.8 metres, this is one of the tallest posts in Harte's Vintage Tear Drop range, built for grounds and entrances on a larger scale, while still carrying the same tear drop head and curved detailing found across the Goose Neck collection.

Cast iron and galvanised steel

The post is built from cast iron and galvanised steel, engineered to hold its height securely at the base. Harte says these cast iron and steel elements carry a lifetime guarantee against cracking, bending or breaking under normal conditions, with exclusions for surface finish, electrical components, and installation related damage. It's finished in gloss black as standard, with other colours available on request.

How it works

A clear polycarbonate lens diffuses light from the tear drop head at the top of the post. It requires connection to mains wiring and a fixed base, and given its height, we recommend professional installation throughout.

Where it works best

This scale suits larger private grounds, longer avenues, or commercial and public settings where a shorter post wouldn't provide enough coverage or presence at the entrance.

Harte, Irish craft since 1983

This lamp post is made by Harte Outdoor Lighting, a family run manufacturer based in New Ross, County Wexford, founded by Willie Harte in 1983 and now carried on by Liz Harte and the next generation, including Jack and Sam Harte. Harte says its lighting is installed at notable Irish locations including Áras an Uachtaráin, Adare Manor and the K Club, alongside private estates and public and commercial projects across Ireland and the UK.
