Harte Vintage Tear Drop 1.5m Lamp Post - Cast Iron & Steel

Standing at 1.5 metres, this lamp post is the shortest of Harte's Vintage Tear Drop lamp posts, part of the Goose Neck collection named for the curved arm that carries its tear drop shaped lantern, in the style of old farmyard lamps.

Cast iron and galvanised steel

Cast iron and galvanised steel give this lamp post its solid, upright form. Harte says these cast iron and steel elements carry a lifetime guarantee against cracking, bending or breaking under normal conditions, with exclusions for surface finish, electrical components, and installation related damage. The standard finish is gloss black, with other colours available on request.

How it works

A clear polycarbonate lens diffuses light from the tear drop head at the top of the post. It requires connection to mains wiring and a fixed base, and we recommend a qualified electrician for the wiring.

Where it works best

At 1.5 metres, this suits path lighting, marking a driveway entrance, or lighting a side passage, anywhere a lower, more domestic scale of lamp post reads better than a taller one.

Harte, Irish craft since 1983

This lamp post is made by Harte Outdoor Lighting, a family run manufacturer based in New Ross, County Wexford, founded by Willie Harte in 1983 and now carried forward by Liz Harte and the next generation, including Jack and Sam Harte. Harte says its lighting is installed at notable Irish locations including Áras an Uachtaráin, Adare Manor and the K Club, alongside private gardens and estates across Ireland and the UK.
