Harte Vintage Tear Drop 1.3m Pedestal Light - Cast Iron, Steel & Copper Head

This 1.3 metre pedestal light, the taller of Harte's two free standing Vintage Tear Drop pedestals, is finished with a copper head rather than the standard black, a genuine material change that catches the light differently along a run of path lighting.

Cast iron, steel and a copper head

The pedestal base and arm are cast iron and galvanised steel, finished in gloss black, while the head itself is copper, left unpainted in its natural tone. Harte's guarantee against cracking, bending or breaking under normal conditions applies to the cast iron and steel elements; the copper head is excluded, in line with Harte's policy on copper components.

How it works

Light passes through a clear polycarbonate lens in the tear drop head, mounted on a fixed, free standing pedestal base. It requires a mains wiring connection and a fixed base, and we recommend a qualified electrician for the wiring.

Where it works best

Where a run of lights along a driveway or path needs a bit more character than plain black, the copper heads catch low sunlight and evening light differently, useful for marking a more formal approach or garden entrance.

Harte, Irish craft since 1983

This pedestal light comes from Harte Outdoor Lighting, a family run manufacturer based in New Ross, County Wexford, founded by Willie Harte in 1983 and continued today by Liz Harte and the next generation, including Jack and Sam Harte. Harte says its lighting is installed at notable Irish locations including Áras an Uachtaráin, Adare Manor and the K Club, as well as private homes and estates across Ireland and the UK.
