Harte Vintage Tear Drop 1.3m Pedestal Light - Cast Iron & Steel

At 1.3 metres, this pedestal light is the taller of Harte's two free standing Vintage Tear Drop pedestal lights, tall enough to read as a proper marker along a path or drive rather than a low accent light.

Cast iron and galvanised steel

Built from cast iron and galvanised steel, this pedestal is engineered to stay stable at its greater height. Harte says these cast iron and steel elements carry a lifetime guarantee against cracking, bending or breaking under normal conditions, with exclusions for surface finish, electrical components, and installation related damage. It's finished in gloss black as standard, with other colours available on request.

How it works

A clear polycarbonate lens diffuses light from the tear drop head, set on a fixed pedestal base rather than a wall or pier fixing. It requires connection to mains wiring and a fixed base, and we recommend a qualified electrician for the wiring.

Where it works best

Its height suits spacing along a driveway or path where you want a run of consistent, eye level lights, or marking the entrance to a garden where there's no wall or pier to fix to.

Harte, Irish craft since 1983

This pedestal light is made by Harte Outdoor Lighting, a family run manufacturer based in New Ross, County Wexford, founded by Willie Harte in 1983 and now carried on by Liz Harte and the next generation, including Jack and Sam Harte. Harte says its lighting is installed at notable Irish locations including Áras an Uachtaráin, Adare Manor and the K Club, alongside private estates and gardens across Ireland and the UK.
