Harte Vintage Tear Drop 0.98m Pier Light For Flat Piers - Cast Iron & Steel

This 0.98 metre pier light is Harte's taller option for flat topped piers, sized to suit bigger gateposts while keeping the same tear drop silhouette used across the Vintage Tear Drop range and the wider Goose Neck collection.

Cast iron and galvanised steel

Cast in iron and paired with galvanised steel, this fixture is built to hold its extra height securely on a flat pier top. Harte says these cast iron and steel elements carry a lifetime guarantee against cracking, bending or breaking under normal conditions, with exclusions for surface finish, electrical parts, and installation related damage. It's finished in gloss black as standard, with other colours available on request.

How it works

A clear polycarbonate lens diffuses light within the tear drop head, and a flat base plate allows the fixture to fix directly to a flat topped pier without a shaped cap. It requires a mains wiring connection, and we recommend a qualified electrician for the wiring and fixing.

Where it works best

Suited to larger, flat topped entrance piers where a shorter fixture would look under scaled, marking a grander driveway entrance or a more substantial pair of gateposts.

Harte, Irish craft since 1983

This pier light is made by Harte Outdoor Lighting, a family run manufacturer based in New Ross, County Wexford, founded by Willie Harte in 1983 and now continued by Liz Harte and the next generation, including Jack and Sam Harte. Harte says its lighting is installed at notable Irish locations including Áras an Uachtaráin, Adare Manor and the K Club, as well as private estates and commercial projects across Ireland and the UK.
