Harte Vintage Tear Drop 0.91m Pier Light - Cast Iron & Steel

Taller than Harte's 0.58 metre pier light, this 0.91 metre version brings the same Vintage Tear Drop design to a bigger gate pier, part of the Goose Neck collection inspired by the curved shape of old farmyard lamps.

Cast iron and galvanised steel

The fixture is cast in iron and paired with galvanised steel, built to carry its extra height without losing the stability a pier top light needs. Harte says these cast iron and steel elements carry a lifetime guarantee against cracking, bending or breaking under normal conditions, with exclusions for surface finish, electrical components, and installation related damage. The standard finish is gloss black, with other colours available on request.

How it works

A clear polycarbonate lens spreads light from the tear drop head, and the base is shaped to sit securely on top of a pier. It needs a mains wiring connection, and we recommend a qualified electrician handles the wiring and fixing.

Where it works best

At just under a metre, this suits larger or taller entrance piers where a smaller light would look out of proportion, marking a wider driveway entrance or a more substantial gateway.

Harte, Irish craft since 1983

This pier light is made by Harte Outdoor Lighting, a family run manufacturer based in New Ross, County Wexford, founded by Willie Harte in 1983 and now carried forward by Liz Harte and the next generation, including Jack and Sam Harte. Harte says its lighting is installed at notable Irish locations including Áras an Uachtaráin, Adare Manor and the K Club, alongside private estates and commercial projects across Ireland and the UK.
